Pune, May 1, 2024: Sharad Pawar held a public meeting for the campaign of Dr. Amol Kolhe at Otur in Junnar Taluka of Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency. At that time, Shirur MP and the candidate of the NCP-SP party for Shirur Lok Sabha constituency, Amol Kolhe, attacked former MP Shivajirao Adharao Patil without naming him. Dr. Kolhe has alleged that former MP was getting elected to Parliament only to manage business interest.

Kolhe said, "Former MP Shivajirao Adharao Patil is an entrepreneur, and his business is related to the Defence Department. So Adharao Patil has asked more than 70 questions in Parliament about the defence department. He asked those questions only to manage his personal business and not out of concern for his voters."

He asked, otherwise, what is the use of asking these questions, which have nothing to do with the areas of Shirur, Junnar, Ambegaon, and Khed? He accused Adhalrao of asking these questions for his own selfish reasons.

"When I was elected to Parliament in 2019, I was new at that time. So, I inquired what questions were asked in Parliament by the former MP. Then I realised that some people went to Parliament only to do their business. Our MP asked questions in parliament like, Which software is the country buying in the defence sector, and when? Which contract will be released when?" Kolhe added. Kolhe said that when we learned what kind of questions our former MP's asked, it became clear that he went to parliament only to manage his personal business.

Now, on this allegation, what Shivajirao will answer will be interesting to see.
