In Kerala’s Wayanad constituency, it is not Rahul Gandhi versus BJP candidate. It is Rahul Gandhi versus a candidate belonging CPI which is part of the Congress-led INDIA bloc.

The CPI has fielded Annie Raja, general secretary of the CPI Women’s Wing. Annie Raja is wife of popular politician Mr D Raja.

In 2019 election, Mr Rahul Gandhi has won by a margin of 4.3 lakh votes against P P Suneer of CPI. The the UDF had won 19/20 seats in Kerala.

In Maharashtra, a new controversy has erupted. This happened after Shiv Sena candidate in Kolhpaur, Mr Sanjay Mandlik raised question as to whether Congress candidate Shahu Maharaj Chhatrapati is the real heir to the royal seat of Kolhapur.

Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, the death of an IPL watch has raised many eyebrows. 65 year old Bandopant Tibile died after a fight with neighbour in Hanmantwadi village of Kolhapur districts.

Tibile and his neighbour Balwant Jhanjge were watching an IPL match…Tibile reportedly said that Rohit Sharma was out and that Mumbai will lose…This angered Jhanjge who beat Tibile with sticks on March 27. Three days later, he died due to the injuries he suffered.
